Duke An Agent For UNC
With 2020 general election fever in full swing in Trinidad and Tobago. Political Leader of the Platform of Truth (TPT) and member of the One Tobago Voice coalition party, Hochoy Charles has called PDP leader Watson Duke a UNC agent during an interview with Trinidad Newsday media. He went on to say that Duke is not from Tobago, he is an agent of the UNC in Trinidad so therefore Duke has no voice in Tobago. Obviously Charles was highlighting the point that the UNC plans not to contest the two Tobago seats in next month general elections and hoping for Duke and the PDP to defeat their main rival the PNM in Tobago East. In response to Charles accusations, Duke has called Charles a colossal failure. Accusing Charles and the One Voce coalition of assisting the PNM to win the election.
The former chief secretary said the One Tobago Voice coalition will been the ground in Tobago to convince the electorate. In a seperate issue, the PNM Women League has called for a rejection of Duke as candidate for election due to an ongoing court matter involving Duke being charged for rape and assault. On August 10th, 2020 Trinbagonians go to the polls on August 10th to elected their central government representatives.
