Trinidad Brand On The Rise Thanks To Carnival And Soca

Carnival And Soca Cultures Main Reasons For Trini Global Popularity

No One can say they’ve experienced a true Caribbean Carnival until they’ve been to the  Mother of all Caribbean style Carnivals – Trinidad Carnival. Today Trini Style Carnivals  are finding new markets in locations such as Berlin, Tokyo, Jamaica And  Hollywood. All of these markets are importing elements of Trinidad Carnival (Trini culture) in creation and promotion of their local Carnivals. As more Carnival markets gain more interest for new masqueraders the export of Trinidad Carnival will continue to grow to more destinations. More key players and contributors will look towards Trini to copy the authentic vibe to export to their local markets. This increase global interest in Carnival has helped in the promotion of the Trini brand around the world

Additionally Soca music which is dominated mostly by popular songs from Trinidad and Tobago artists has gained noticeable increase in popularity and today is consuming a growing global audience. The fact that Soca music is touching people in places one would find difficult to even believe such as Finland  and Japan  proves their is no barrier for the music genre. Some say the emergence of the genre's hype and vitality in recent years came from recent hit songs such as  'Hello' by Kes  and 'Differentology' by Bunji Garlin.  Some are even making the argument saying Soca is becoming the Caribbean youth sound of choice in the region, overpowering dancehall music. The growing popularity of the music genre around the world has lead to the increase in popularity of the Trinidad brand.
