Nadia Batson (born on December 07, 1976) is a Trinidadian musical artiste strongly associated with the Soca music genre. She was born in Port Of Spain and raised in Barataria, Trinidad and Tobago.
Nadia who has been coined with the nickname 'Nah-dey' by her fans got her breakthrough into Soca mainstream popularity in 2011 with
a collaborative hit song My Land with
Soca star Kes.
Performing 'My Land' she and Kes finished runner up in the 2011 International Soca Monarch (Power Category)
Nadey is well known for her song writing skills as well. She has
penned popular soca songs for
several well known soca stars, including Destra Garcia and Farmer Nappy. To name a few hits, she was the writer behind "Hookin Meh" a very big soca by Farmer Nappy. As well as "Technically" by Destra and Farmer.
