T&T's Amazing New National Flower
On Tuesday March 7th, a bill was passed in Trinidad and Tobago Parliament recognising the double chaconia as the twin island Republic new national flower. The bill was passed with the support of both opposition and government parties. The double chaconia replaces the single chaconia and there is an ongoing project by the Horticulture Society, 4h Club and Agriculture Ministry to have this amazing flower planted in the school ground of every public school in Trinidad and Tobago.
