As Trinidad's energetic 2020 Carnival fete season advances, Carnival organisers around the world are giving close attention to the mecca and home of Caribbean Style Carnivals - Trinidad Carnival. The Big flags in a lot of fetes, the coordination of events every week, the new soca music being released, the stage presentations, the steel pan events, the jouvert celebration are all being closely watched and monitored.

This close observance of Trinidad Carnival by other Carnivals around the world is NOT new but every year (especially in recent years) organisers around the world look to Trinidad to set the pace, set the Carnival trend for the rest of the year. Trinidad Carnival continue to be a successful export to the world and it is obvious popular Caribbean style Carnivals held in big cities such as Miami, New York, London and Toronto has used Trinidad Carnival as their blueprint for success. 

So it is no surprise when we are closer and closer to February each year the Carnival world has their eyes and ears locked to the twin island Republic to observe what is new, what has changed, what can we take to implement in our Carnival.
