Kamla Channels Her Inner Donald Trump, Demands Entire Country Open Up By Next Week!

T&T Opposition Leader In Trump-Like Behaviour, Demands The Prime Minister To Re-Open Entire Country By Next Week!

Trinidad and Tobago Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar is staying true to her recent form  and has channeled her inner Donald Trump by calling on Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to completly re-open the country by next week. If you have been living under a rock, Donald Trump is the United States President who shares the same "time to open everything up now" philosophy in defiance of the threat of the COVID-19 virus that has claimed more than hundred thousand lives in his country. Now Kamla is taking a page from Trump's playbook and has released a public statement on social media blasting the Rowley government, stating in her letter that citizens and businesses are suffering under the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Opposition Leader and Former Prime
Minister Kamla Persad Bisessar

Her plea to the Prime Minister comes as the country is quickly approaching one month since the last recorded positive case of COVID-19. In her same statement released on Facebook she mentions "The hunger crisis, mass unemployment and threats of homelessness and impoverishment for so many citizens that has ensued is a shocking
 wake up call."

She went on to blast the government for taking too long to re-open the manufacturing sector saying it was long overdue and highly insufficient. She believed the severe economic fallout faced by many small and medium term businesses during what she labels as the government's prolonged national shutdown has condieabley endangered T&T's overall economic viability. She went on declare "I am therefore calling on Prime Minister Rowley to endure that the entire country is re-opend by next week"

However it is important for our readers here on Soca Music Tv to understand that the Rowley led government has developed and rolled out a phase opening plan for Trinidad and Tobago. As of today the country is currently in the second phase of re-opening.

On the other hand the government has continued to receive praise at home and abroad for their managing of the COVID-19 virus in the twin island Republic.  Mandating early and strict safety guidelines from nation-wide lockdown procedures  to stay at home measures, the government's leadership for the rest of the nation has bear fruit in helping contain the deadly virus. They have continued to gain praise for their results, from foreign nationals writing open letters to the world, to the Chinese government noticing their efforts and as of yesterday the people of T&T can stand proud together knowing they have zero active cases.
